The Christine E. Lynn Heart Institute opened in 2006, eliminating the need for patients to travel potentially life-threatening distances for comprehensive cardiac care and marking the first time in 20 years that a new open-heart surgery program started in Palm Beach County .

The Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Community Hospital has been in operation for 28 years and has developed into of the largest comprehensive cancer centers in Florida. A new $75 million, 98,000 square-foot cancer center facility, called the Harvey and Phyllis Sandler Pavillion, is planned to open in 2008.

Boca Raton Community Hospital is part of a program alliance to become the teaching hospital for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University and Florida Atlantic University (FAU). As part of the agreement, the hospital will lease 38 acres of FAU land – located on the southeast corner of the campus - for the development and operation of a community-university affiliated teaching hospital. The new 530 private-bed teaching hospital, scheduled to open in 2011, is designed to become one of the safest teaching hospitals in America .

North Broward Medical Center is a comprehensive, 409-bed healthcare facility conveniently located at Interstate 95 and Sample Road in Broward County. More than 650 physicians and 1,500 employees contribute to the high quality of patient care provided at the tax-assisted medical center.
Designated as an Adult Level II Trauma Center, the Emergency Department is open around the clock to serve residents of Broward and nearby southern Palm Beach County. In addition to treating everything from minor ills to major injuries, the department is now a designated Chest Pain Center where rapid assessment of chest pain is focused on saving lives and reducing damage to the heart. More than 50,000 people are treated in the ED each year and they receive approximately 650 trauma patients annually.
North Broward Medical Center plays an active role in the community, participating in an assortment of programs. NBMC volunteers work with students through Broward County's Partners in Education program. This is the only sleep disorder center in Palm Beach and Broward counties accredited by the American Sleep Disorders Association. The Boca Raton Sleep Disorder Center provides non-invasive overnight sleep monitoring in a home-like setting. Medical Director Natalio J. Chediak M.D. is board certified in neurology and sleep medicine. Evaluation of all sleep disorders is provided, including insomnia, snoring, sleep apnea and daytime sleepiness. Hospice by the Sea has provided a special kind of caring for almost two decades to those whom cure is no longer possible. An interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, clergy, therapists and specially trained volunteers work with patients' physicians to develop a plan of care. The team controls symptoms of illness and supports emotional well-being. The center's goal is to help its patients stay at home, but the staff also works with the patient and family in its 32-bed private care center, at nursing homes and in adult congregate living facilities. Admission is based on need only; the facility receives reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, grants and donations. On-call emergency care is available 24 hours a day. The Care Center at the Boca Community Hospital provides care for the bruises, cuts, earaches, flu symptoms and other minor medical emergencies. The center is open 8:00 a.m.- midnight seven days a week, so appointments are unnecessary. Patients are seen in the order in which they arrive. Pediatricians complement emergency room physicians weeknights, and all day on weekends and holidays. The center provides care for all ages, from newborns to seniors.
